We’ve partnered with Beamafilm to give users access to a vast catalogue of award-winning films.
Libraries are more than places to borrow books. Today, they’re gateways to a growing world of digital resources – from eBooks and audiobooks to films, documentaries, learning resources and more.
That’s why Solus and Beamafilm are making it easier for library members to discover and enjoy quality cinema as part of their existing digital library experience.
Starting September 14, 2026, Beamafilm’s curated collection of films and documentaries can be discovered through the Solus Library App, giving library members a simple way to find something new to watch alongside the other digital resources available through their library.
Discover independent films, documentaries and world cinema
Beamafilm brings together thousands of carefully selected titles from around the world, with a focus on independent film, world cinema, acclaimed documentaries, culturally diverse stories and award-winning productions.
Whether you’re looking for an insightful documentary, an international film or something completely different from the usual streaming choices, Beamafilm gives library members another way to explore great cinema through their library.
A simpler way to discover digital library resources
Finding digital content can sometimes mean moving between different platforms and services. The new Solus and Beamafilm integration helps make that journey more straightforward. Beamafilm titles can be surfaced within the wider digital offering of the Solus Library App, allowing members to discover available films alongside the other resources provided by their library.
When a member chooses a Beamafilm title, they’re connected directly to Beamafilm to watch – creating a simple journey from discovering a film in the library app to streaming it online.
Available from September 14, 2026
The integration will be available from September 14, 2026. Existing library app customers can request the integration by contacting the Solus support team.
With more digital resources becoming part of everyday library membership, partnerships like this can help libraries continue to connect their communities with content that informs, entertains and inspires – all while making it easier for members to discover what their library has to offer.
